Chemist for the synthesis of magnetic resonance contrast agents

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student or postdoc who will work on the synthesis of hyperpolarizable contrast agents for magnetic resonance experiments. The initial appointment for postdocs is 2 years with possibilities for extension. He/she should have a strong background in synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry or related disciplines. Knowledge of NMR methods and experience in working with cells or proteins is desirable.

We offer an international and highly productive and innovative working atmosphere and provide state-of-the-art NMR equipment and collaboration possibilities especially with the “Institute for Biostructural Imaging of Neurodegeneration“ (BIN).

The position is to be filled by February 2017. The successful applicant will receive a salary according to the funding guidelines for young researchers of the Max Planck Society.
